Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and HireReady ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the HireReady website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Description of Service
HireReady is an AI-powered career readiness platform that provides the following services:
- Resume Analysis: AI-powered parsing and analysis of uploaded resumes to extract skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Job Matching: Comparison of your resume against job descriptions to provide match scores and identify skill gaps.
- Learning Recommendations: Personalized suggestions for courses and resources to help you close skill gaps.
- Interview Coaching: AI-powered interview practice with feedback and scoring.
- Job Discovery: Recommendations for similar job opportunities based on your profile.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability.
User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided proves to be inaccurate, false, outdated, or incomplete, or if we believe you have violated these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fabricated resumes or credentials.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any systems or networks.
- Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission.
- Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or other unsolicited communications.
- Upload any content that contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service.
User Content
"User Content" refers to any content you upload, submit, or transmit through the Service, including but not limited to resumes, profile information, job descriptions, and interview responses.
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by uploading User Content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and analyze your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content.
- Your User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Your User Content is accurate and not misleading.
- Your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.
AI-Generated Content
Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate various outputs, including but not limited to match scores, skill gap analyses, learning recommendations, and interview feedback ("AI-Generated Content").
You acknowledge and agree that:
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-Generated Content is provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-Generated Content.
- Not Professional Advice: AI-Generated Content does not constitute professional career counseling, legal, financial, or employment advice. You should seek appropriate professional advice for important career decisions.
- No Employment Guarantee: Use of the Service and AI-Generated Content does not guarantee any specific employment outcomes, job offers, or career advancement.
- Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying and evaluating AI-Generated Content before relying on it or taking any action based on it.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, code, text, displays, graphics, photographs, audio, video, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by HireReady, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written consent.
- Use any HireReady trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written permission.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Service.
- Create derivative works based on the Service.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.
Payment Terms
HireReady currently offers a free tier of service. We may introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Billing: You agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription plan. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
- Payment Methods: You must provide a valid payment method. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.
- Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.
- Refunds: Fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in our refund policy.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Breach of these Terms.
- Requests by law enforcement or government agencies.
- Discontinuation or material modification of the Service.
- Extended periods of inactivity.
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions in your account settings or by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
- Any errors or defects will be corrected.
- The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
- The results of using the Service will meet your requirements or expectations.
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for any damage to your computer system, data loss, or other harm that results from your use of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HIREREADY, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
- Personal injury or emotional distress.
- Costs of substitute services.
- Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HireReady, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your User Content.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
- Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms.
- For material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or via email.
- Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
